MERLIN’S BEARD

CASE FILE NO 225

CSI CHALLENGE

Welcome to March. Already this year is flying past. March happens to be my favourite month, as I celebrate my birthday in the first week and lucky for me in the West (Western Australia) it always falls on a long weekend.

This month we have been asked to guest design for the CSI Challenge.

Head over to see all the other amazing designers and their work.

So here is the Case file that I have used to design my layout this month.

Whimsy Notes

Whimsy Notes.

This month I have covered the fronts of 3 note books.

The first one features the CB1220 Ornate Frame and the CB4070 String Circle Roses.

The charms CH036 are also from Scrapmatts.

To decorate the background I started by covering the notebook with Gesso. I then applied the plasterer’s tape and using a paintbrush added the Prima Marketing 963576 Finnabair Art Extravagance Rust Paste Set to add colour to the chipboard pieces.  I have used the ST1026 Circle stencil with Colour Blast Paste in Deep Water. I have also coloured the metal embellishments with the rust paint.. The flowers are from 49 and Market. The washi tape is from my own stash. The image is from Ranger Ink – Dylusions Adhesive Canvas – Printed.

Cayenne Challenge

I am posting this layout again, as I had removed it for consideration to Scrapbook Memories magazine, unfortunately it wasn’t accepted.

So I wanted to share with you all, as this is one of my favourite layouts. It features my father with his 4th grandson the day he was born. Such a beautiful memory documented. It is now framed and I gifted it to him for Christmas.

I wanted to show that you can give it a feminine influence with the flowers but still have male elements on the page.
